Deacon Gamaliel Oforitsenere Onosode (OFR) is the pro-chancellor and chairman of council, University of Lagos and chairman, Nigerian Stockbrokers Limited. He is also chairman, 2006 Federal Government/Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) Re-negotiation Committees. A presidential aspirant 1998/99, Onosode introduced privatization into the Nigerian socio-economic agenda in 1981 through the Report of the Presidential Commission on Parastatals (otherwise known as Onosode Commission) of which he was the chairman.
