All Nigeria Peoples party (ANPP) has commeded the Edo State election petition tribunal for declaring Action Congress (AC) governorship candidate in the state, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, winner of the April 14 election.

National Publicity Secretary of the party Mr. Emma Enekwu said the tribunal has exhibited uncommon courage in the nullification of the election of prof. Oserheimen Osunbor of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP).

"It is a sweeting ruling, the tribunal deserves the commendation of Nigerians. The judges are men of honour, men of integrity" the party said.

ANPP urged tribunals in other states where rulings are yet to be delivered on the April, 2007 elections to be fair and courageous in their decisions.

It however counselled against hinging on the judgment to denigrate some individuals or democratic institutions saying the ruling was a victory for democracy.
