Fashola, Eaglets for Tella’s anniversary

Members of the all-conquering Golden Eaglets’ stars and the Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Raji Fashola have expressed willingness to add more colours to late coach Theophilus Adeyemi Tella’s one year anniversary billed to take place at the Baptist Church, Moloney, Lagos Island on the 30th of this month.

The late coach’s widow, Mrs Christiana Modupe Tella stated that the one year anniversary in honour of her late husband promises to be befitting as they have sent letters of invitation to Nigerians that stood by the family since the demise of the late soccer aficionado.

"We appreciate the prayers showered on us by Nigerians during the trying times and we also want to use this opportunity to them for being there for us whenever we knock on their door for assistance.

"We however, invited the Lagos State governor, members of the Eaglets team to South Korea, the National Sports Commission, the Nigeria Football Federation board members and they have promised to be present at the epoch making event", said the Lagos State Hockey handler.

It will recalled that late Tella breath his last at the Intensive Care Unit of the Lagos State Teaching Hospital on 20th of October after a long battle with cancer and was committed to mother earth at the Vault and Gardens commentary on Lagos Island.
