Apam in transfer dilemma
Vice of France defender,
Apam Onyekachi has confirmed receiving offers for a January
transfer move to either Olympique Marseille or Olympique Lyon in
the French Serie A
However, while noting
interest to lure him away from Nice by both giants, the former
Rangers International of Enugu defender said his sight is
focused on playing in England.
Rather than jump at the
possibility of linking up with Taye Taiwo at Marseille, Apam
said England is where his heart is, although he would still love
to play out the ongoing season at Nice.
"I cannot hide the
attraction of the Premier League. We’ll see what happens," said
the 21-year-old Flying Eagles and Dream Team 4 revelation.
French club Nice only
recently confirmed that Apam has extended his contract with them
for one more year.
The defender has been at
Nice since January 2006 and the new deal means his contract with
the club now runs until 2013.
Apam was part of the
Nigerian Olympic team that claimed a silver medal at the Games
in Beijing in August and has also features for the senior team.
