Centage wins African
Sustainable House marketing right
ortgage banking giant,
Centage Savings and Loans Limited, has won the sole
franchise for the marketing of the African Sustainable House
(ASH) in Nigeria and the entire West African market. The
ASH, also known as pre-cast house, is a low-cost, German
finished product approved by the United Nations for
developing nations who are serious in fighting housing
deficit.
The Germany director
of ASH, Mr. Oliver Klauenberg, said his company has signed a
contract with Centage for the marketing of the House in West
Africa, and that the agreement gives Centage the sole right
to the House, adding that the factory for the construction
of the house will be installed in Nigeria before the end of
the year.
On his part, the
Managing Director of Centage, Mr. Johnson Gabriel Ndukwe,
said his bank decided to enter into the pact with the German
company as a measure towards fulfilling the vision of the
mortgage company which is to add value to the life of
Nigerians by solving the needs of housing through the
provision of affordable housing not only to Nigerians, but
also to the entire people of the African continent.
Ndukwe also stated
that Centage would be providing mortgage facilities to
prospective buyers for these houses.
Managing Director of
Eifeler Betondecor Nigeria Limited, Mr. Harrison Bob-Manuel,
disclosed that the pre-cast house could be installed in a
day with the furniture and other fittings intact. It also
comes with a solar energy. "The house is insulated. The
inside temperature remains the same. So you might not need
an Air conditioner," he said.
